For those
who does not know the net / web principle of an affiliate:
A
website owner starts an affiliate program.
Other
web - owners (let’s say Truthtraders.com) can
now join this affiliate program and install a link on their own websites
which will direct a potential client to the affiliate program's website.
If an
order is generated from this redirected client,
Truthtraders will get commission on the sale.
This
has evolved into a science and lots of business opportunities arose from
this.
Our Affiliate philosophy:

It
took me a while (and lots of hours of research) to come to this realization
but ...............
Initially I thought an affiliate (or PARTNER) as I like to call them should
be an entity that is seamlessly connected to my site and I went to great
lengths to make the shop look as such.
But
right at the spot where I was about to implement the redirect / cloaking
techniques available, I suddenly realized but that is essentially wrong. (In
my book, anyway).
The
general dilemma is that a potential customer could easily change the
affiliate code with mine and thus I will loose the "commission" afforded to
me.
What is my problem?
I
feel it will not be truthful and possibly qualify for being deceitful to let
a browser / surfer into a different site (not under my control) and not with
their knowledge into different territory.
I
would hate if that happens to me.
I
would rather the dilemma or the onus stay with the potential buyer to be
honest or not, as long as I know I have been truthful to myself and
everybody else.
The bottom line is......If the client discovered the product or site via my
site (and efforts) and on top of that I went to great lengths, short of
buying the products in all cases, to ensure it fits with the portfolio of
our site and pose to be great or good value for money, then on that premise
I would be GRATEFUL if the client showed appreciation by going via my site
to a partner site.
As a
client you will pay exactly the same amount of money, the affiliate owner
"splits" his profits with me for doing him the favour off showing the
potential client the product.
My
core product is my book "Journey to the truth" (which is really why this
website exists) and will be featured with as many affiliate programs as I
can find because it is the best way to market the product.
